Kevin Tighe

One question we're asked all the time through this website is ...

"Are Randy and Kevin still friends?"

Not only will you find the answer to that question below, but through Kevin's own words you'll also get a feeling for the camaraderie that was shared by all members of the cast and crew.

Thanks so much, Kevin, for letting us take a glimpse into the fun times that you had both on camera and behind the scenes of "Emergency!"

Anniversary Message to "Emergency!" Fans

"(For all those over 35 years of age) ... thanks for hanging in there! (For all those younger than 35) ... Notice how a little imagination and time has a way of keeping us all together."

Message to Randy on the 30th Anniversary of "Emergency!"

"30 years later and only one year younger. Now that's a partnership!"

Fondest Memory of working on "Emergency!"

"Working with Julie and Bobby. Never a dull moment. Great wrap parties. The opportunity of working with such a wonderful cast and crew!"

Fondest Off-Screen Memory

"Being a guest of the Kentucky Derby the year Secretariat won. Being allowed to meet him after the race. Having Julie London sit on my lap and sing "Daddy" at the Derby party."

Favorite Anecdote

"Randy adopting a pet bobcat, Cree, who we kept in the motor home and who loved to jump on a sleepy paramedic - from the steering wheel to the couch - a little guy with big paws!"

NOTE: Dawn Lyn remembers Cree as a "puppy," but Kevin is pretty sure he was a bobcat!! (or maybe they just TOLD Dawn it was a puppy! J)

UPDATE - MYSTERY SOLVED! Is it a Bobcat ... or is it a Puppy? Turns out ... it's BOTH! Randy had a bobcat named "Cree." The bobcat died and Randy bought a Siberian Husky and named the puppy "Cree" in memory of the bobcat.

Favorite Memory of Working with a Guest Star

"A veteran character actor, Jack Kruschen, confiding to me: 'Kid, you gotta learn to listen'."

NOTE: Jack Kruschen played the role of Senator Mike Wolski in the pilot episode.

Favorite Memory of Working with the Cast and Crew

"Randy cutting Buttercup's shoelaces and trimming Mike Germaine's moustache and then getting paid back in kind."

NOTE: Buttercup was a camera assistant - "focus puller." Mike Germaine worked in hair and makeup.

What has stayed with you from "Emergency!" all these years?

"My enduring friendship with Randy."

Current Projects?

"I'm usually in between jobs and trying to recreate myself before assuming another character."
