Ok, everybody!  Jump back into the Squad and hang on to your helmets!  We’re going to leave Route 51 for a little while and take a detour down memory lane to Route 66!

Cynnie Troup, Bobby’s daughter, was a script supervisor on Emergency!

Cynnie, we can’t thank you enough for sharing with us your memories of your Dad and Julie, for your touching words, and for the photos from the Troup Family album.  You’ve helped make this anniversary celebration very special for everyone associated with the show, and for the fans.

If Bobby and Julie were with us today, what 30th Anniversary message would they want to send to the cast, crew and fans?

I think that they would both say it was one of the best periods of their lives and they loved being on the set (especially my Dad) and they adored and had so much fun with the cast and the crew – that work wasn’t very hard and I think they liked that and of course deserved it – so, the message: It was fabulous and those years are very, very, special.

What was it like working with your Dad and Julie?

Fun mostly – I adored my father and being with him a lot was great.

What was your off-screen life like at the height of their popularity?

Basically like now in that I am a “movie crew member”, but then, people thought I was a Script Girl because of my Dad – wasn’t true – in fact I got on "Emergency!" because of Bob Cinader from “Adam-12”, but I love being his daughter, it was fun to be “Julie London’s daughter” when she was really well-known (singing).   (click to hear!)

How was it when your sisters guest-starred on the show?

I barely remember. Kelly was only 10 and worked about half a day, and I worked with Ronne on Adam-12 and it was great.  I think I was there for one day of Ronne.  She worked on episodes after I left.

What was it like working with Randy Mantooth, Kevin Tighe and Robert Fuller?

Also the best! “Emergency! was the most fun job EVER.”  That was said to me by the camera operator on the show (Norm Langley) and it is so true.  I swear I rarely have fun on sets these days.  It’s changed since then and the hours are longer and it’s just not fun and because the whole cast of "Emergency!" were such good friends, the whole set was very special. Actors on other jobs often “just do the work”, but on Emergency! it was very different and of course special.

P.S. Kevin especially has been a very good friend all these years.

What are your fondest memories of working on the show?

Generally, just going to work.  My favorite scenes were with my Dad and Julie when they would be “their real relationship.  The love and joy they had with each other.

Where did your career path take you after Emergency!

I left Emergency! to do movies, and I did.  I did lots of movies (click here to see Cynnie’s career history on films and in television!) and for the last 6 years I’ve gone back to doing T.V.  No locations, etc!!!

What are you working on now?

I am about to work on the TV show “Once and Again” for 2 weeks and then I will do 13 episodes of an HBO series “The Mind of the Married Man”.  I did it last year.
